Safety update for Pride

Please review this important message regarding Safety for #LexPrideFest2016:
“We will not only stand in solidarity with Orlando this year but we will dance and sing to celebrate Pride. Pride was actually born many years ago out of the need for individuals to escape persecution for openly being who they were and was comprised of mostly minority, transgender identifying people. With both recent and past events in our minds, we encourage everyone to come out for a celebration of equality, love and self expression. We have met with city officials and have an increased awareness and law enforcement presence this year. The Lexington Police Department has always supported our event and they continue to do so. Our priority is the safety of each and every one of you.

We. Are. One.”
